With some of our competitors recently closing their wine storage cellars we thought we’d share some key considerations in relocating your wine collections. Here are our top tips, (and why Rushcutters is the perfect wine cellar) to consider:
Climate
Our cellar runs at a super consistent 12-13 degrees C. They are kept a consistent 50% humidity just enough to not dry out corks, but not enough to cause condensation issues. We also designed our cellars so air circulates in both the common areas and through the wine vaults, ensuring no mould develops.
Security
Ever since we started 10 years ago we’ve made sure our clients wines and they themselves are safe in our wine cellars. Our security monitors any movement in the cellar and the common access areas out of hours. With direct back to base security, you are never alone in the cellar out of hours. In case anything serious happens just call out and our security provider can contact you directly with the two-way speaker system and notify emergency services if required.
Longevity
We own our building and are not going anywhere. With the most recent cellar upgrade completed in 2020 we now have the whole underground level dedicated to wine storage. Our investment in wine storage is evident and we won’t require you to move out.
Back-Up
We know there are some special bottles in our client’s wine vaults. As such our cellars need to be bulletproof, which is why we have full UPS fail over generators based on site. If the power ever cuts to the building our UPS cuts in automatically ensuring zero downtime of climate control or security both into and inside the building.
Location
We are situated in the heart of the Eastern suburbs, not far from the CBD and the suburbs of Darlinghurst, Surry Hills, Potts Point, Woollahra and Elizabeth Bay. Our customers recognise the convenience of having their wine collection closer to home or office, we can also organise delivery at very competitive rates and receive any wine orders free of charge.
